Amy E. Dotson, BS, LMT

Director of Education and Lead Instructor

As a graduate of ITMM (MBI), Amy has been a licensed massage therapist since 2003. In the years since graduating massage school, Amy has furthered her education in various areas including receiving her 200 hour RYT in yoga teaching training. Recently she was awarded a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Middle Tennessee State University. Amy currently teaches our human anatomy and physiology course along with our pathology course.

Randy Cotterell, LMT

Financial Aid Administrator

Randy worked as the Cash Control Lead for Dollywood for over ten years before training as a massage therapist and opening his own establishment in Sevierville. He also served as the Treasurer of AMTA-TN chapter from 2008-2016. With his move to Middle Tennessee, Randy joined MBI in December of 2015. He is currently the Financial Aid Administrator and office manager extraordinaire!

Julia Mims, LMT

Intern Clinic Instructor

Julia Mims is a native of Nashville and discovered massage by working with and on her older sister after basketball games. She attended a local school and graduated with honors in 2004. Julia is a business owner and has assisted others growing their own establishments, and in 2009 she decided to expand into teaching as well. Julia believes in the integration of knowledge and practical experience, and how to incorporate this into every massage. She has been with MBI since January of 2018.

Bethany Peadro, BS, LMT

Instructor

Bethanie is originally from Florida, but has been in the Nashville area since 2006. She attended TNU earning her B.S. in Elementary Education and taught 3rd grade English Learners. Since stepping out of the classroom, she focused on her other passion, massage therapy and attending Mind Body Institute. Since graduation in 2018 she has worked to build relationships with clients and building her business. Bethanie started working at MBI in 2021 combining her two passions, teaching and massage therapy. When not working, you’ll find her probably training for a race, or traveling, maybe both.

Blake Mundell, BA, LMT

Instructor

Originally from Colorado, Blake moved to Nashville in 2007. He is a graduate of Belmont University and Mind Body Institute, and now specializes in sports massage and Fascial Stretching Therapy, working with pro athletes of various kinds. Since the 2013 football season he has been on the medical staff of the Tennessee Titans. He has been a part of the MBI teaching team since February of 2018. When he isn’t working, you’re likely to find Blake hopping around Nashville’s beach volleyball circuits or playing at your favorite local music venue.
